SARINA SHOW - AUGUST 2006

We presented a display at the Sarina Show on 5 and 6 August 2006.  This was the first year the project put on a display for the Sarina District.  Although the public attendance at the show was higher than usual, interest in the terminal project was minimal.  No negative issues were raised and employment enquiries were marginal.

QUEENSLAND MINING EXHIBITION - JULY 2006

BBI (DBCT) presented a display at the Queensland Mining Exhibition on 25, 26 and 27 July at the Mackay Showgrounds.  The project display received a lot of interest from both the regional community and industry.  Once again a lot of interest was shown in employment on the project.  The Bowen basin coal mine representatives were keen to see the development of the Terminal to meet the demands of the Australian coal exports.

We presented a display at the Mackay Show on 20, 21 and 22 June at the Mackay Showgrounds.   The project display once again received a positive response from show attendants, although the crowds were down this year due to inclement weather for the first day and a half.  Employment enquiries dominated the feedback from the local/regional community.
