Anthony Timbrell, Chief Executive Officer

Anthony Timbrell is the CEO of DBCT Management having joined the organisation in 2008. As CEO, Anthony takes responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the business. Anthony has extensive experience working in coal marketing and infrastructure for Rio Tinto, including a lengthy assignment in Japan, and most recently Foxleigh Mining.

Anthony brings to DBCT a broad understanding of the entire coal life cycle, having been involved in mining, logistics and marketing as well as an exhaustive list of contacts from both users and customers of DBCT.

Anthony was a customer representative during the negotiation of the original Access Undertaking for DBCT and has a keen appreciation for the coal industry generally. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle.

Greg Smith, General Manager Operations

Greg Smith holds the position of General Manager Operations for DBCT Management having started with Prime Infrastructure in August 2002. Greg's responsibilities include the operational interface between DBCT Management and the Operator as well as terminal stakeholders.

Greg has extensive experience in bulk shipping and port operations having served in senior management positions with Port of Brisbane Corporation and various bulk shipping companies.

He holds an MBA (AMC) and Master of Sustainable Management (Sydney University).

Stephanie Commons, General Manager Finance

Stephanie Commons joined DBCT in October 2006 as Financial Accountant and now holds the role of General Manager Finance.  Ms. Commons commenced her accounting career with Ernst & Young and spent over eight years working in Corporate Recovery and Corporate Finance in Ernst & Young’s Brisbane and London offices.  During this time, Ms. Commons worked on various corporate restructurings and managed numerous advisory and due diligence assignments for U.S., United Kingdom and European listed and private equity clients.  Prior to joining DBCT, Ms. Commons was a Finance Manager and subsequently spent time working for a forensic accounting firm.  Ms. Commons holds a Bachelor of Science (Computing) from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Business - Accountancy (with Distinction) from the Queensland University of Technology. She has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1994.

David Hull, General Manager, Corporate & Project Controls

David Hull joined DBCT Management in November 2004 as Contracts and Commercial Manager for the DBCT 7X Project.

David has a career that spans over 30 years in the engineering construction industry. During this time he worked on a range of mining and resource projects for Rio Tinto (formerly CRA), and Bechtel throughout Australia and also has overseas experience in New Guinea and New Zealand. David has held a number of different senior project management roles and has specialised in the project controls and commercial aspects of project management. He has worked across the spectrum of project management functions including Owner's teams, EPCM teams as well as construction contractor's teams.

David has a Diploma of Civil Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Peter Wotherspoon, Project Director

Peter Wotherspoon joined DBCT Management when the terminal was leased in 2001 and now holds the role of Project Director. Peter was the Site and Technical Manager for the first part of the $1.3Bn DBCT 7X Expansion and then the Deputy Project Director for the second part of the project. Since completion of 7X Peter has led a small team working on the Post 85 Expansion studies as well as retained overall responsibility for all construction based activities at DBCT.

Peter has almost 25 years in project delivery of heavy industrial/materials handling construction projects with a predominate focus on projects in an operating "brownfields" environment. Prior to moving to Queensland in 1995, Peter managed several water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Sydney and was responsible for managing the connection of Sydney's largest deep water ocean outfall tunnel at North Head in the early nineties. He has been involved with expansions of DBCT since joining the Construction Management team during the $180M Stage 3 Expansion in 1997 and was deputy Construction Manager for the Stage 5 Expansion on behalf of Ports Corporation of QLD and the Stage 6 Expansion for DBCT Management. He has an extensive knowledge of the operations at DBCT and has been instrumental in developing the scope and execution strategy of all recent expansions of DBCT.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a Graduate Diploma in Administration both from the University of Technology, Sydney.
